Unity of Command II is launching this November, closed beta starting later this month

Hey everyone!

Over the past couple of months, you have seen us periodically talk about our co-production effort with the legendary strategy masterminds from 2×2 Games, Unity of Command II. Other than a few streams and trailers that showcased the gameplay it was all talk so far, but as Mr. Dylan would say – times, they are a-changin’.

We’re super happy today to announce that the development of Unity of Command II is all but finished, and the game is slated for November 2019 release on Steam. Before 2×2 Games launches the game, they are looking for a brand new batch of beta testers to join the wargaming fun in an upcoming closed-beta due to start on October 21st.

To sign up for a chance to participate, get more info on the beta, and check out a brand new dev-diary, please go to unityofcommand.net.

The private beta will be available Windows via Steam and will include single-player and hot-seat multiplayer modes.

Serious Sam Revolution Update 1.02 is Live

Hi everyone!

I can’t believe it’s been over a month since Revolution migrated from Early Access to a full release already, but we haven’t been static since. Instead, we have been all over your reports and feedback, fixing, readjusting, rebalancing and expanding in the meantime.

Our main focus was fixing some critical issues as well as the invisible Workshop items issue that came up, as we love seeing your mods shine. This was sorted out, so please make magic happen, we can’t wait to check all your custom stuff out.

This update also takes care of the leaderboard issues with survival levels, as well as many smaller issues with Netricsa, collision, textures and such. More detailed update notes can be found on Steam or Reddit, whichever you prefer.

Stay Serious!

Unity of Command II – TGS2019 Pre-Beta Gameplay Showcase

Some of the most prolific talkers from 2×2 Games and Croteam sat down during this year’s Tokyo Game Show to showcase Unity of Command II and some of the standout features that truly make this game a perfect gateway into wargaming.

Over the course of almost two hours, 2×2 Games’ scenario designer Daniel Melbin and Croteam’s marketing boi Ante Vrdelja walked us through the initial scenarios of the Allied campaign, focusing equally on new features as well as mechanics that made the original Unity of Command great. Go grab some popcorn and tune in. If you like wargames there is no better way to spend a couple of hours today.

Unity of Command II is launching this fall via Steam, so make sure to wishlist it now and stay in the know.

Featured Mod – Serious Sam Fusion – Plastic Patrol 2: Replastered

Hey everyone! By now, we really hope you played through Red Day: Episode One, an amazing mod that was the star of our first Mod Feature back in May. We also believe it’s about time for another one. We’ve played some of them recently and decided that summertime is perfect to play through Plastic Patrol 2: Replastered. This custom campaign mode tells the story about the Green Army and a fight to save their home.

Some of the highlights of this really cool mod include six unique maps that you can play through solo or with friends, along with appropriate weapon mods, enemies and everything you’d expect from such a mod. There’s even a decent plane mission, something we’d never expect from a Serious Sam mod.

The mod was made by the powerful Pan, with some help by Mauritsio, UrbanDeHuman, and Soulmyr, so we’re sending massive props their way.

NOTE: To play the mod you’ll need to own SSHD: The First Encounter, SSHD: The Second Encounter and SS3: BFE.

Are you making Serious Sam or The Talos Principle mods yourself? Let us know, we’d love to check them out. For all things Serious Sam hit Mr. Stone up on Twitter and Facebook. Unity of Command II Dev Diary – A Seaborne Invasion

Our co-production partners 2×2 Games are steamrolling through milestone objectives list, smashing bugs and shooting down to-do tasks, as Unity of Command II gets ready to invade our PCs later this year.

As always, things start with a daring landing and a brand new Developer Diary detailing all of the mechanics typical for operations of this kind – naval defensive fire, LCVP landing craft ferrying the units involved in the naval assault, and a plane carrying paratroopers.

There’s more, of course, as Tom tries his best to explain Headquarters mechanics, such as command points and HQ branches. If it sounds complicated, no need to worry, it’s just one of those things that you pick up on your way to the front line. Provided you survive.

Unity of Command II progress update – AI and Airpower

Despite the team being hard at work to provide fans with yet another brilliant strategy game 2×2 Games’ head Tomislav has managed to squeeze out another progress update for the upcoming wargame Unity of Command II. In this one, all eyes are kept on the sky, as it brings forth info on aerial actions including bombings, reconnaissance, and airdrops.

The update also focuses on AI and how it takes into account various different elements like player moves, historical facts and mission objectives. Check out the full update by following the link below.

SCUM takes hardcore to the next level with Archery

Gamepires always said that things can never get too hardcore. Just ask anyone who tried scratching the surface of the human body in SCUM. They are keeping their high standards with each and every update, and Archery mechanics are no different.

Check out the latest Archery development video below.

SCUM Maneater Update is Live on Steam

Gamepires have outdone themselves again. This Friday marks another milestone, as SCUM gets its biggest update to date as well as a huge wipe of everything ever. You won’t be mad, tho’. Here’s why.

First up, SCUM just got the first batch of female prisoners. There are three base characters to choose from, but fear not – all of them are fully customizable. After you’re done with that – and one slider is going to make it last for hours – you’ll be welcomed to a world full of missions and improvised construction sites. That’s right, base building is now a thing.

Other than that, SCUM has a brand new inventory system, car repair mechanics and epic beards to go along with it. Finally, you’ll be able to channel your inner hipster in SCUM. That’s not all, of course, so make sure to visit the link below for a full Maneater Update breakdown.

Race your way to victory in Battle Bolts update 1.03b

Our Croteam Incubator gem Battle Bolts has just been updated with some cool new features to make your strategic tank-battling even more fun. With a brand new game mode and some new tanks, along with some community requested features, this is the biggest update Battle Bolts has gotten since leaving Early Access.

The new game mode in question is Racing. The goal of this fun new mode is to end each turn on a highlighted tile, while using all traditional mechanics to prevent the opponent from doing so. The tank racing takes place on three custom racing arenas – Shifty Lanes, Crossroads and Drive-thru. Complementary to the new game mode are two brand new tanks – Ranger and Medusa – both equipped with unique front and side abilities.

For a full list of changes be sure to check out the official changelog.
