SCUM update 0.1.27.12125 is live!

The general rule is – you don’t patch your games on Friday. But, Gamepires are a crazy bunch so that’s exactly what they usually do with SCUM. They like to live on the edge. To be fair, it’s been all good so far, so we won’t judge. We’ll jump in the game instead. There’s much to enjoy.

For one, you can visit a new place, the Coal Mine, but that’s not all. SCUM got many smaller islands around the main one. You should go there, who knows what they hide.

There are more new additions, of course, along with many tweaks and fixes.

Finally, this update marks the beginning of a brand new weekly comic series that will help you understand the lore behind SCUM.

Unity of Command II announced in partnership with 2×2 Games

We’re proud to announce that Croteam’s partnered up with Croatian game-dev veterans 2×2 Games to create Unity of Command II, a sequel to the cult classic wargame Unity of Command: Stalingrad Campaign.

With the transition to 3D graphics, new features like Headquarters and refined core mechanics, as well as some new additions like supply hubs, road networks, and fog of war, 2×2 Games and Croteam are ready to take this operational-level wargame to the next level.

“We’re extremely happy to finally announce Unity of Command II. We have been working hard on making a sequel ever since the work on the first game was wrapped up. We can’t wait for everyone to jump in later this year and see the evolution in our vision of operational wargaming,” said 2×2 Games CEO, Tomislav Uzelac.

“You never know what to expect from Croteam! We’ve built our brand on chaotic shooter games in Serious Sam, went on to create a slow-paced philosophical gem in The Talos Principle and co-produced a survival megahit in SCUM,” said Roman Ribaric, Croteam CEO. “We love what 2×2 Games has done with Unity of Command and recognize the ingenuity behind it. We’re very excited to bring our experience to the table and make Unity of Command II the best wargaming title to date.”

Unity of Command II is scheduled for a Q3 2019 release. To stay up to date with all things Unity of Command II, wishlist the game on Steam today.

Tormental Brings It On With Some Serious Firepower

With the Early Access release fast approaching, our Croteam Incubator partners and friends from Gungrounds have made yet another dev-update on Serious Sam: Tormental. This one focuses on some of the weapons you will use to destroy Mental’s fantasy in this chaotic top-down rogue-lite shooter.

A deadly harpoon-gun, an electric shotgun, and a devastating flamethrower are just some of the toys in the arsenal Sam and his friends have at their disposal. But, you know what? All those descriptions sound way better when they are written by the game designer himself, so check out the full dev-blog by following the link below.

SCUM Early Access 3-month Roadmap is Here!

You have spoken, Gamepires have listened, and now you finally have an idea of where SCUM is going. It is going to be a blast, let us you tell you. Happy days!

We won’t go into detail, there’s an elaborate blog post on the SCUM store page for that, but we’ll offer a broken down version instead.

First up, some vehicle changes. Soon you’ll be able to enjoy vehicular gameplay the likes of which you will never forget, as the car physics are getting a huge upgrade. Elsewhere in-game you’ll be able to use a brand new inventory. The one SCUM has now is cool, and all, but nothing like the new one. Cross my heart.

One of the most important updates to SCUM by far is the base building system that will allow you to – build a base! Woooo! Who saw that coming?!

There are tons of changes planned for the following months, so be sure to check out the 3-Month Roadmap blog post by following the link below.

SCUM Update 0.1.25.11684 is A Go!

Our partners in crime Gamepires have not let their fame get the better of them, and are still working as hard as they ever were to keep SCUM up to the standards you all expect and deserve.

It is with that in mind that they have prepared another huge SCUM update. Server optimizations, new weapons, fortifications, and reworked cooking mechanics are some of the highlights, so be sure to check out the full changelog below.

Ready to jump back in? You better be, because there’s a long weekend in front of you.

SCUM gets vehicles, modes and a big-ass wipe

The wait is over, and a new SCUM update is upon us. This one is substantial, but the several GB of download is more than worth it as they bring some of the most requested features to date.

One of those is, of course, the ability to drive vehicles. Players are now able to jump into an SUV and drive around, mowing down hordes of enemies, alive or undead.

Also coming with this update is a brand new game mode – Capture the Flag. This one is self-explanatory, so instead of going into detail, we’ll just let you jump in and enjoy it.

Last, but not least. You collectors have a new thing to look forward to – trading cards. They’re almost as awesome as the game itself.

For the full list of changes please visit Steam.

SCUM Wild Hunter Update is Live Now

With the latest SCUM update, the boys and girls from Gamepires have added a slew of exciting new features to the most amazing survival game today.

The update introduces bow and arrow skills that you can use for hunting game or other players, and get ahold of some fine little trophies to use for decorative purposes.

While we’re speaking of decorations, there’s a brand new character creation system in place that lets you apply attribute points to your genitals. Size does matter in this one, believe you me.
