Hi everyone! The current week was a big one for us. On Tuesday, we have announced that Serious Sam 4 is coming to GOG, and the reactions to that were overwhelmingly positive. We have always been about giving the players as many options as possible, and that started with in-game stuff, all the way to game availability, so it feels good seeing that we have made the right decision.
The GOG pre-orders are available now and include the Tommy Gun weapons skin.
This week also marks the continuation of the official countdown to Serious Sam. In this one learn more about why we’ve been developing our own engine for 25 years, and what made us take on a difficult challenge of staying up to date in today’s world of amazing video game tech.

The long-awaited SCUM Update 0.4 is finally live, and our partners from Gamepires have outdone themselves with this one, updating multiple mechanics, adding cool new features, and making our co-production baby the best survival game there is.
The SCUM Update 0.4 introduces a cool new weapon maintenance system, as well as weapon malfunctions to make your life miserable, provided you don’t take care of your killer toys. Joining the weapon malfunction system are brand new ammo types, along with their perks and advantages, as well as brand new weapon mechanics including revamped recoil animations, and different fire modes.
SCUM is also getting some new weapons, and the option to shoot some fools while driving your vehicles. Other changes include improved sound effects, new improvised gear to craft, and a ton of bug fixes, tweaks, and smaller changes.

Hey everyone! It’s likely that some of you have already forgotten about The Hand of Merlin, so here’s a little breakdown. The Hand of Merlin is another co-production effort Croteam is involved with. A fantasy turn-based tactical game that started as part of the Croteam Incubator initiative, but has since evolved and grown into an elaborate project. With this evolution came many great things, but the one that stands out is the switch in technology.
Spoiler alert – The Hand of Merlin is now being built in the Serious Engine!
That switch is exactly what our partners from Room-C Games are focusing on in their ‘Status Update’ blog post available on Steam. Make sure to check a look, and press that “follow” button on the official Steam Page, as this Status Update is just the tip of the iceberg. Room-C Games are planning a bunch of updates leading up to the launch, currently scheduled for late 2020.

On Friday, when no one should be updating any games, Gamepires have done it again. It’s a tradition by now, so why the hell not, right? Anywho, a brand new SCUM update is live since yesterday, and it’s the biggest one yet with tons of new features and fixes.
The big new addition is Samobor, SCUMs biggest city released so far, in which you can explore some of the most beautiful locations the team has made since EA launch. Alongside the new city, the game has been updated with brand new weapon animations, an improved puppet spawning system, squad management, as well as new core gameplay features like limping and skills.
With SCUM v0.3, it’s a perfect time to jump into the most amazing survival game today. Coming from a totally non-biased PR dude that means something, does it not? I thought so.
