The long-awaited SCUM Update 0.4 is finally live, and our partners from Gamepires have outdone themselves with this one, updating multiple mechanics, adding cool new features, and making our co-production baby the best survival game there is.

The SCUM Update 0.4 introduces a cool new weapon maintenance system, as well as weapon malfunctions to make your life miserable, provided you don’t take care of your killer toys. Joining the weapon malfunction system are brand new ammo types, along with their perks and advantages, as well as brand new weapon mechanics including revamped recoil animations, and different fire modes.

SCUM is also getting some new weapons, and the option to shoot some fools while driving your vehicles. Other changes include improved sound effects, new improvised gear to craft, and a ton of bug fixes, tweaks, and smaller changes.
